There are at least four bus stops within a 5-minute walk from Parkwood Collection with 20 over buses servicing the neighbourhood. For example, the bus stop opposite Block 709 along Hougang Avenue 2 (Stop ID: 63341) has bus number 854. This bus bound for Bedok Interchange stops by Eunos and Kembangan MRT stations. You can connect to the East-West Line via either of the train stations in less than 25 minutes!

During wet weather or on days where you don’t want to walk to Hougang MRT station, hop on feeder bus 325  from the bus stop opposite Block 25 along Upper Serangoon Road (Stop ID: 63061) to get to Hougang Central Interchange. It’s only two stops away.

For an all-in-one place to get your grocery fix, shopping needs, and services, head to Hougang Mall. The shopping mall is a short 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk from Parkwood Collection. Fairprice supermarket which opens from 8am to 10pm is located at basement one.

Some of the fashion stores in the mall include Cotton On, Goldlion, and Giordano. Bata and D&C (Design & Comfort) are places to purchase new shoes.

There is no lack of service options at Hougang Mall. Get your traditional medicines or well-being regularly checked at Eu Yan Sang TCM Clinic. Need some quick foreign currency for that business or leisure trip you’re about to take? Head to Hougang Authorised Money Changer at basement one. You can also boost your mood with flowers from Lab Floret. Singapore Post is also available at level four for your mailing needs.

Also, let’s not forget the range of medical clinics at Hougang Mall. As a resident of Parkwood Collection, you can conveniently get to the doctors at Healthway Hougang Clinic. Hougang ActiveSG Stadium

Realty Park is the closest neighbourhood park from Parkwood Collection. The other parks within a km from the property are Punggol South Park and Hougang Neighbourhood Park.

For proper running tracks, you can consider walking further to Hougang ActiveSG Stadium. The open-air stadium is open in the morning from 4:30am. Want to beat the crowd? Wake up early. Hougang ActiveSG Sports Centre and Sports Hall are situated right beside the stadium and have a range of activities you can sign up for.

In the mood and time to tread further on weekends? Take a 20-minute walk to Punggol Park. There’s a GoCycling @ Punggol Park bicycle rental service so hop on one and be well on your way for some paddling exercise! The park also has a special Dog Run @ Punggol Park area for your lovely pets to run freely and mingle with their friends. Consider having dinner at Five &2 bistro located within Punggol Park. They are open from 4pm.

Or have some water fun with the kids at Wild Wild Wet @ Downtown East and enjoy a staycation at one of the resorts close to the water park – D’Resort @ Downtown East or Cherryloft Resorts & Hotels. Wild Wild Wet @ Downtown East is approximately 20 minutes drive away from the property.

Draft Master Plan for Hougang & Serangoon (2019)

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has announced the draft master plan specifically for Hougang and Serangoon in 2019, which will benefit you if you’re planning to get a unit at Parkwood Collection.

New Lorong Chuan district

This district is near Lorong Chuan MRT station, a stop away from Serangoon Interchange via the Circle Line.

The zone will see new parks, amenities, and pedestrian linkages to serve the community. Since Parkwood Collection is within the region, you will also be able to benefit from the new developments somehow.

More employment opportunities closer to home

With the up and coming upgrades at the Lorong Halus Industrial Estate, residents can look forward to more employment opportunities in the food, lifestyle, and logistics industry. There will also be new open spaces and waterfront parks.

Shorter commutes

When the Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) and Cross Island Line (CRL) are fully completed, residents in the North-East region like yourselves will be connected via five MRT lines. The estimated completion date is 2035.

But to put our focus in the near future, that is by 2029, the Cross Island Line (CRL) will bring about shorter commutes from Hougang MRT station. From Hougang MRT station, you will find yourself just three train stops away to Pasir Ris MRT station (East-West Line), three train stops away to Ang Mo Kio MRT station (North-South Line) on the opposite direction, and five train stops away to Bright Hill MRT station (Thomson-East Coast Line).
